July 2021<br><strong>Opening<\/strong>: Mathis Huber &amp; Helmut Reinisch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition is held in cooperation with\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/styriarte.com\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"rank-math-link\">Styriarte festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Lust for Wool &#8211; Haptically perceptible pictograms<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Up until seventy to a hundred years ago, Nomads \u2013 a culture without architecture and the written word \u2013 created arresting objects of art. Patterns and motives, but also proportions and colours, were embedded in climate, era, culture and religion, often representing a legible pictogram. These carpets were never geared towards the market or decoration; they were articles of daily use or ritual objects.
